Jacob + Kim: A Quarry Bridal Shoot

Good morning all!

Now, I’m not going to lie, I’ve been itching to post these photos ever since I snapped the shutter two weeks ago! You see, I was lucky enough to attend a recent stylized bridal shoot coordinated by the lovely Mabyn Ludke of Mabyn Ludke Photography, and wedding designer Shannon Lach of The Events Company! I worked with four of our “models”, Kim & Jacob and Amanda & Jordan. To keep it simple, I’m giving each couple their own post, so be sure to check back for Amanda & Jordan later this week!

Kim and Jacob were SO much fun to work with. First, they were up for absolutely anything! When I wondered aloud if Kim would be able to climb into the collapsed portion of the roof, she responded gamely, “Absolutely I can!!” And that, ladies and gentlemen, is one of the things that makes for a fabulous model. Jacob was just as fabulous, even sporting a pink bow tie, mohawk and hipster glasses to complete the ensemble. When I had him do his “GQ pout,” he laughed so. hard. which gave me one of my favorite shots of the day! He then proceded to quote (as I put it) be all GQ for me end quote. (That’s what we call official art directing talk.)

Kim and Jacob, thank you so much for being a part of this day! You’re def at the top of my “models to use for amazing shoots in the future,” and I can’t wait to work with you again!!

Here are some of my favorite shots from my time with Mr. and Mrs. Milea. Take a peek and, as always, be sure to leave them some comment love down below!
P.S. And if you haven’t seen the gorgeous giveaway we’re holding for all our lovely readers right now, you just have to pop on over here and enter! It’s super fast, and easy. (I promise!)
Loved the graffiti wall! Could you ask for a more perfect backdrop for a hipster bridal shoot? Kim was the happiest bride!! Loved her smile :)…and capital L-O-V-E-D her shoes! Her pink converse totally tied everything together!I must be lots funnier than I’ve been told… this is Kim’s serious face ˆ ;)Bow ties will get me every time! Is it weird that I wish guys wore them… every day? These next two shots are two of my faves! Jacob, you’re so good at the GQ thing! So lovely Kim!!
“The GQ Giggle” ˆ <3!!!These photos just get me every time! Kim’s expression is just so happy! Love!I’ll have to stop designating “favorites” so early on in posts. Because… well… you know :)Mabyn did such an amazing job coordinating props and setups! Loved that she brought her vintage suitcase collection to share……and the “ceremony site” setup was just so lovely and minimalist! I especially enjoyed the quilts <3B-e-a-utiful, lovely!

Martha! These are amazing! I absolutely love them. I had about a million specific thoughts as I was looking through them, but of course, now all I can think of is “ooh! pretty!”
