Kyle + Kaitlin: A Central Park Engagement

It’s true, there’s nothing I love more than a good engagement story. And believe you me, Kaitlin and Kyle’s had everything a gal could wish for! Romantic location, check. Surprise factor, check. Gorgeous ring and handsome guy down on one knee? Check and check!

So without further ado, here are my favorite photos from Kaitlin and Kyle’s romantic Central Park engagement session. I’m sure you’ll fall in love with the couple just as quickly as I did ;)

The happy couple in front of Bethesda fountain, where Kyle popped the question ˆ

Kyle is quite the gentleman–but he definitely has a silly side! And he’s always ready to bust it out to make Kaitlin giggle :)

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is Miss Kaitlin Brower :)

<3

On that particular day, we managed to scope our a couple areas where it seemed we had the park all to ourselves! It was beautiful :)

If you’ve never been to see the Bethesda fountain it’s definitely worth a visit! The murals in the tunnel leading to the fountain are absolutely gorgeous!

Happy Wednesday all :)

Jessica + Adnan (Sneak)

We all know that winter is on its way, but last Sunday, Jessica, Adnan and I enjoyed one of the last beautiful days of fall! Together, the three of us retraced their steps in downtown Syracuse (where they had their first dates!) and by Onondaga lake, where they spent their days before moving to Connecticut. It was a perfect afternoon in every way, and I only wish I could have kept the two of them here in Syracuse with me!!

Here are a couple sneaks from our time together–be sure to leave them some love in the comments section, and check back later for more!

Jessica + Ed (Sneak)

It takes a completely d-e-v-o-t-e-d couple to brave super chilly temps, lots of mud, and even a little snow–all in the name of engagement photos! Here’s to Jessica and Ed–my new heroes for doing all of the above (and more!), and making my Saturday absolutely amazing in every way :) Here are just a couple of sneaks from their shoot in scenic Preble, NY–don’t forget to leave them some love in the comments section, and check back soon for more!

[...] is a girl after my own heart: not only did she absolutely rock her engagement session (despite snow flurries and muddy terrain!) but she’s a Christmas card junkie just like me [...]

To Sum Up #10: Costumes, Pumpkins and Candy (Oh My!)

Happy Monday guys and gals!

Well the countdown continues with only four more days till party time! I’ve already bought my fake rats, pumpkins, and other miscellaneous decorations (a relief since most of commercial America has decided it’s now Christmas!), and now it’s time to stock up on candy :) Personally, I’m a huge fan of candy corn (…not the weird chocolate kind). What do you guys think? What did you all hope for in your plastic pumpkin heads when you were small?

I have been absolutely in love with the foliage this year, and the time I spend on the road lets me soak it all up on a pretty regular basis! So while I spent last weekend in NYC with my family, that also translated into 8 hours in the car driving up and down Rt. 17 enjoying the pretty reds and golds of the Catskills! Too bad the weatherman told me it’s supposed to snow next WEEK! Yikes! I guess I’ll have to be adult-like and go get some snow tires and a shovel. (I spent most of last year “shoveling” with my feet. A particularly difficult task when your car is stuck in 3 feet of snow…)

Now that they only have one daughter left at home, my parents have quite the social schedule! It seems like every time I head back to Utica for a visit, they’re having a dinner party or trying out a new restaurant… It puts my social life to shame, but I can’t complain when I’m eating this well ;) This time around they introduced me to Pier’s and Blake Steakhouse, and it was fabulous. Can’t go wrong with autumn  squash bisque–ever. It’s totally worth a visit if you swing by the downtown area! P.S. I hear some of my girlfriends are already planning their weddings there… ;) You know who you are!!

In addition to dinner with the family this weekend, I was also lucky enough to spend some quality time with Miss Cara and her fiance Rob! You won’t want to miss their library inspired engagement session–not to mention their wedding next year at MWPAI! (Yes, I am squee-ing with joy as I think of that. Of course!) Check out a sneak below–there will be more on the way shortly :)

I’m off to finish planning my costume and eating testing the halloween candy (!) To spice up your pre-Halloween week, I submit, for your amusement, Hyperbole and a Half–a fantastic blog written by the always hilarious Allie Brosh. Her dogs reminded me constantly of Mr. Spock (especially the simple one ;) and every time I discover a new favorite post/essay of hers, it ends up being my new favorite. There’s lots to explore but I’ll leave you with my latest discovery–one I think most of my friends and fellow freelancers can relate to ;)

John Swann looks like he’s rocking out big time! Also, I love the backdrop for the show, it came out SO COOL in the pictures!

Lynne

Martha, thank you for sharing. I wish Mike and I could have been there. We love Gregg’s music and it would have been great to see your dad playing (as well as the other musicians.) xoxox

Cecilia

Great band!! Great time!!

You don’t happen to have any recording or videos of your dad singing do you? I love his voice! I’m so sorry for your loss by the way.
