Nova Scotia is for Lovers // Honeymoon Scrapbook

When Jesse and I were first dating, we had three lovely weeks together before he left the country for field research. Then, all at once we were doing the “getting to know you” dance across 5,000 miles of distance, and in our awesomely nerdy way, mostly via spreadsheets. These weren’t any old run of the…

Hello, Spring

With just a few more hours of winter left, an armful of tulips (yay for anniversary celebrations!) was exactly what the doctor ordered. Here’s looking forward to a gorgeous spring, with all the showers, sunshine, flowers (and lovely photo shoots too!) that come with it! xx

Puppy Love

The Swann family has a new addition–a cutie patootie rescue puppy who Mom has named Kenny (though the improbable moniker Lord Sauron (Sauron/Lordie/LS for short) seems to have stuck… not that we’re LOTR dorks or anything ;). Fluffy and adorable, albeit a bit confused by nearly everything, he’s a perfect fit. Of course he immediately…

Life Lately: a Day Trip to Kingston, ON

Every so often it’s nice to take a day off. And when the weather’s gorgeous, and Kingston, ON is just a hop, skip and a jump across the border (and there’s delicious pizza waiting there to boot?) well then it’s just a given that a day trip is in order! Here are a few snapshots…

Sometimes

Sometimes all it takes is one weekend away from it all to bring things back into focus. Two days, plenty of good food and plenty of laughter with some pretty incredible people. Many more photos to come, but here’s one frame from this weekend’s getaway to the thousand islands. Many, many thanks to Jim and…

Note to Self…

It’s hard to believe that August’s already winding down and there’s just a few more days of summer sunshine left before the leaves start to fall. While I can’t complain (I’ve been secretly counting down the days till it’s sweater/pie-baking weather) it was a total surprise that these past few months have flown by so…

Vegas, Baby

Another thing to love about photography is that it can literally take you anywhere! And by anywhere, of course I mean Vegas! While I was in “Sin City” for work, I did manage to spy a few landmarks (MGM pyramid and the baby Eiffel  tower!) through my cab window, and enjoy the gorgeous weather–103 degrees and…

On the road again

A frame from my weekend in NYC–I’m missing my ladies lots already! Today I’m off to Boston for work… I’m going to need to download my Wicked soundtrack so I can listen to it on the go ;)

Saturdays are for Baking

When I was in France, my girlfriend Lindsay and I would get together every other Sunday or so at a cafe to swap stories and catch up on our girl chat. We called them our chocolate Sundays because we’d inevitably end up ordering something deliciously chocolate wherever we went :) It was always so lovely…

You are most welcome! I see you also are in NYC. I often go to rednaigs and other book events. Perhaps we can connect in the future. Did you go to the Book Expo last month? I’m reading some of the books I got from there. Nice way to start the summer. Now all I need is a travel destination and I will be set! Cheers!ReplyCancel
