Sarah + Travis: a Gratitude and Grace Wedding in Ithaca, NY
I have many reasons to be thankful for the fact that my job allows me to do what I love, but I find that the thing that I'm most grateful for is the fact that the work I do is a constant reminder of all of the love that there is around us. And this was especially true at Sarah and Travis's wedding earlier this summer. If the sweet emails and phone calls leading up to the day weren't enough to prepare me for the lovely celebration that awaited, the fact that Sarah clapped her hands and jumped up and down as she announced me to her girlfriends gave me all the warm happy feelings I could have wished for and then some :) Add to that all of the beautiful details that Sarah and Travis had peppered throughout the day (hand-painted rock place markers, succulents and cacti grown by their families for favors, hand-written vows on folded paper and inscribed in Moleskine notebooks, and a groom who played the banjo at his own reception) and you can believe that I was. in. heaven.Spending the day surrounded by Sarah, Travis and their sweet family and friends with warm hearts and even warmer smiles (and happy tears too!!) was such a blessing, and I will forever be grateful that I was there to witness it all. Many thanks to the newly minted Mr. & Mrs. Acker... here are a few favorites from our time together, with more on their way to you both soon! xx
