Following Bliss // Photo Field Trip 2015

It's a beautiful thing to do what you love for a living, and even better when you're able to share that love with 500 other passionate and talented people. This March, I attended Photo Field Trip, a creative retreat for photographers, videographers and other artists. It takes place in El Capitan Canyon, CA,  and the website will tell you that it comprises several days of lectures, seminars, styled shoots, darkroom classes, campfires, polar bear swims and the like. Beyond that though, it's a beautiful opportunity to connect with other creatives and explore new ways of making beautiful work together. We danced in rompers, ate cereal at midnight, hiked through canyons and hills and took many, many pretty pictures.I'm so happy that I had the chance to spend so much time with Alli, Megan and Alicia (yay cabin mates!)--all such wonderful people and beautiful photographers to boot--it was so amazing to experience PFT with you three and I wouldn't trade that weekend for anything!Below are just a few captures from the trip that reminded me again and again why I love what I do, and how lucky I am to do it. Alli--helping us start things off with a mini modeling sesh ;) The lovely Alicia :) Megan and Alicia both live and work in Charlotte, NC--Megan and I went to school together but it was a first for me getting to know Alicia!
